Carol was looking for a kind and caring dog/house sitter as she need to travel to the UK to see her family.

Her beautiful dog, Bethany is blind and, as such, a very cute and cuddly little girl.

Bethany was very prone to being confused and needed a little extra guidance….so, I was thrilled to be able to offer Carol the care and attention Bethany required.

This assignment was during the lead up to the Commonwealth Games in the Gold Coast, and added to the wonderful experience of caring for Bethany as the region of the Gold Coast was a hive of activity with preparations and road closures already in place for the games.

Bethany is blind and physically challenged. I wasn't expecting to find someone as quickly as I needed.

Anthony answered my request and I couldn't be happier.

Bethany bonded with Anthony immediately and I knew that I could go away with no worries.

He sent photos and reports of her daily and he is very good at taking great pics.

When I came home the house Bethany was happy, the house was clean and there was a lovely card from Anthony thanking me for the opportunity of taking care of my little girl.

I recommend him highly for pet/house sitting.

Gold Coast - Australia

Meet Olli !

Olli is a gorgeous medium sized labradoodle with a giant sized personality.

I’m lucky enough to be looking after Olli in a beautiful home situated in the foothills of Adelaide.  The home is 11km from Adelaide city and has a big inground swimming pool and large garden. The Neighbourhood is quiet and has many fabulous nature walks adjacent with many fabulous trails to explore with Olli. 

One of my favourite daily outings with Olli is in the Watiparinga Reserve,  a National Trust of SA property. It is 32 hectares of mainly steeply sloping land that lead down to an ephemeral and a number of adjoining open space reserves.

Anthony was my first Trusted house sitter.

I was pleasantly surprised how his courteous and friendly manner made me feel at ease by talking with him and how my dog Olli took to him.

Anthony sent daily photos or video of Olli showing what they were up to and where they were walking. <br.
I could clearly see Olli enjoying himself!

All this made my mind at ease while being away. On the top of all this Anthony offered to drive to and pick me up from the airport!

On the arrival home the house was clean and tidy. A big surprise was a lovely bowl of fresh fruit and food in the fridge. I never thought anyone would even think of this, I certainly didn't!

Belair - Adelaide Foothills - South Australia

Montpellier is the 7th largest city in France and is a wonderful place of inspiration. 

From its medieval streets to new neighbourhoods combining natural spaces and buildings and the most modern tram system in the world.

It’s certainly a fabulous place for me to be staying in a wonderfully cosy apartment in the city centre looking after two cats… Grisly Bear (Gris) and Bradley Wiggins (Brad).  Don’t you just love their names ? 

During this assignment, it is fair to say that I was fortunate to experience every possible weather condition.  

When I arrived there were beautiful sunny days and coolish nights.

But then, whilst it doesn’t normally snow in Montpellier, France was hit by the most extreme Siberian weather bringing with it temperatures of -12 degrees Celsius and severe snow storms.  It was indeed magical to see this wonderful city turned into a winter wonderland.

Anthony was absolutely fabulous.

The cats seemed delighted and the house was beautiful when we returned.
All communication was very easy and we felt very assured that things were safe in our absence.

We had a number of things going against us - the first snow in Montpellier in decades, for a start, leading to very uncertain transport times - and he dealt with these with initiative and intelligence, and everything went off perfectly.

And Anthony also showed us how to turn off the incredibly annoying sound on our washing machine, for which I will forever be grateful!

There’s a certain magic in the air at Sitges.

The whitewashed coastal town lies on the Costa Brava, approximately 30km South of Barcelona.

The town is bursting with classic art deco buildings a beautiful bay and a seafront promenade lined with palm trees and Spanish eateries. Its beaches are known to be some of the best on the Mediterranean coastline.

It is also home to three gorgeous little dogs that, in the absence of their owners, I have the greatest pleasure to look after … Eddy, Dobby and Tauran.

The timing for my visit to this beautiful region was also perfect.

February is essentially not a tourist season, so I did get to experience the town in a very tranquil state.   That is until I very quickly realised that February is also Carnaval time.  

The peace and tranquility was spectacularly transformed into “Party” mode as  the town and it’s beautiful people embraced a very colourful and energetic Mardi Gras celebration that lasted nearly a week.

Sitges….. Totally spectacular and an experience that for me will be remembered for a very long time.

We have been very lucky in that Anthony not only cared and loved our 3 pet dogs but was very attentive in keeping us informed daily on their well being whilst we were away.

Our house was immaculate when we returned and as we found Anthony to be a very nice sociable guy.

We had no problem in inviting him to stay with us for a couple of more days before moving onto his next assignment.

I would highly recommend Anthony for any future Trusthousitting assignments and welcome him back if the need arose.

So nice to experience some sun and warmer temperatures and visit my wonderful hosts Ron and Mel again….

After the pleasure of experiencing the amazing relaxed atmosphere that the wonderful Costa del Sol region of Spain offered last August, it was certainly nice to re-visit, explore and catch up with my favourite doggies Mac and Lobo.

It was also really nice to have the opportunity to spend time with my wonderful hosts again , share a few glasses of wine together with a splendid meal or two of the very delicious Boqueronis ( a fabulous lightly tempura style of fresh anchovies…. yum!!  )

Christmas in Brettenham UK 

BRETTENHAM, is a rural village parish in Cosford district, Suffolk on the river Bret or Breton.

The village is located 3½ miles from Bildestone, and 7 miles from Stowmarket.

It’s definitely mid winter in UK and, I must say, it’s feeling very Christmassy as the temperatures are trying very hard to reach minus zero degrees centigrade with much rain and the promise of snow.

My beautiful abode is a large and very tastefully decorated home complete with the company of a wonderfully warm wood fire and two very loving dogs.

The owners here have gone to great lengths to extend the warmest welcome with a measure of hospitality that, to say the least, is incredibly thoughtful and most generous to the extreme. Great care has been taken to ensure that not only do I feel at home but indeed the spirit of Christmas is abundant. So many thoughtful touches and obviously much time and care has been expended for the  purpose of ensuring that my Christmas House Sitting Experience is nothing short of festive.

From the amazing Christmas tree, the tasteful decorations throughout the home to the fresh Christmas wreaths adorning this front door with the highlight being the most incredible surprise delivery of the biggest gourmet hamper of delicious Christmas treats and wine that I have ever seen.

Breda, my words can not express the gratitude I feel towards your immense kindness and utmost generosity.  

The icing on my Christmas cake, however, was the opportunity to look after Billy and Murphy.

Billy is a beautiful and very loving French Bulldog and Murphy, the soft hearted and most affectionate and placid Pit Bull I have ever met.  What a joy it was to unwrap their presents on Christmas morning in front of the fire and to witness their anticipation of what Father Christmas had left in their stockings.

Thank you so much for a Christmas experience that I shall always truly cherish! 

For this assignment I’m located in a small village outside Andover, Hampshire, United Kingdom.
Andover is close to Stonehenge, Winchester, and Salisbury.

Winchester has Christmas markets, and an Ice ring near the Cathedral – a visit to which was a wonderful festive experience!

Biggleswade is a historic market town in Bedfordshire UK.

Here I am looking after a wonderful collection of mad but extremely loveable pets including Loki and Roxi (two Staffordshire Bull Terriers) Belle ( a very cute little pug with attitude), Indya and Mittens two very understanding felines (you would have to be understanding to be a cat living with a household of crazy dogs) and a couple of peaceful fish who’s home must be like a front row seat to some kind of never ending comedy show 🙂 

Meet mad Loki, 4 Months old, adorable and way too much energy … but then he crashes flat out 🙂

All this love is in a beautiful cosy home surrounded by a rich history and character buildings that have remained largely unchanged over the years.

The town centre features the Market Square where a general market is held each Saturday. 

The river Ivel runs along the northern and western boundaries of the town 
and Biggleswade is situated on the A1 and has fast trains into London Kings Cross.

Despite arriving after we had left due to time differences, Anthony kept in regular contact and gave me updates about my lovely, albeit somewhat chaotic puppy!

I couldn’t rate Anthony highly enough and would absolutely recommend him to anyone.

Biggleswade - United Kingdom

Port Macquarie is a beautiful coastal destination just North of Sydney NSW.

It’s nestled between the Pacific Ocean and the Hastings River, and surrounded by lush rainforests, hinterlands and some of Australia’s best beaches.

Silo – a 16 year old very affectionate puss

Keefie…. A typically loveable Cocker Spaniel …. so loveable!

Here, I have the awesome pleasure of looking after the most loveable but crazy cocker spaniel, “Keefie” and Silo a super affectionate 16 year old cat whilst Mum and Dad are on a cruise to New Zealand.

Anthony came to our house in Port Macquarie for two weeks to look after our Cocker spaniel, Keefie, Silo our cat and to keep an eye on the house.

We were absolutely thrilled with everything that Anthony did and with the outstanding care given to our pets. With the contact that we had with Anthony prior to his arrival and then after meeting him, we felt very confident leaving him in charge.

It was immediately obvious that he was very capable and he formed an immediate bond with the pets.

We enjoyed spending a couple of days with Anthony before we left and he was great company,

The house was spotless on our return and we couldn't recommend Anthony highly enough.
