Meet a beautiful rescue dog
so sweet that she was named “Sugar”
Sugar was rescued from a shelter in July 2018.
She is a very timid and has an extremely sweet soul, hence why the volunteers named her Sugar!
Sugar had been living on the street for 2 years but is actually 5 years old and her past is a bit of a mystery.
Her owners, Chanelle and Dan have dramatically changed her rather grim street existence and now Sugar luxuriates in a beautiful penthouse in Singapore.
Chanelle and Dan were worried though that putting her in boarding kennel whilst they go away would stress her out, so they desperately wanted to keep her in her own home to minimise any disruption to her routine and thus I had the privilege of caring for her whilst they holidayed overseas.
Sugar is fully house trained, walks perfectly on the lead without pulling and is a pretty chilled.
All in all, a very affectionate girl who was a delight to care for and lady who spends most of the day snoozing in her bed.
Other than sleeping, her two favourite things are cuddles and eating chicken!
Here’s what the owners had to say:
We were so lucky to have Anthony look after our fur baby.
He left the flat cleaner than we left it, washed all his bedding and towels and even left us welcome home flowers and gift!
So thoughtful.
And he of course, showered our dog, Sugar in love and attention, all the while keeping us updated via WhatsApp.
Plus, we were lucky enough to spend one evening with him and heโs very good company too!

West Coast - Singapore
Chanelle and DanSugar always enjoyed her evening walks and whilst she was not particularly sociable with other dogs, the one exception was a lovely stray dog the locals have named “Blackie”.
I’m pretty sure these two had a special attraction for each other as whenever Blackie appeared there was certainly a lot of rubbing noses and tail wagging going on ๐
