Milan, Italy. Not only the fashion capital of the World, but home to Buffy, a gorgeous and most beautifully natured Doberman cross.
With picture postcard snow over Christmas and the beautiful Buffy, this assignment has certainly has made for a most memorable house sitting experience.
What the owners have said:
Let me cut to the chase: Anthony and Fátima are incredible humans, and Buffy misses them dearly.
I feel very lucky to have met these new friends, and both Buffy and I sincerely hope they will be able to return soon.
When I talked to Anthony for the very first time, I could tell his chief concern was Buffy’s wellbeing; throughout his many weeks staying in Milan, this concern showed. Buffy got a lot of exercise as she accompanied Anthony and Fátima around Milan (thanks again for the great pictures!).
When Buffy’s nail broke, Anthony let me know right away and got her to a non-urgent veterinary appointment to have it removed.
Both of them clearly adore Buffy, and the feeling is mutual.
I enjoyed hearing Anthony’s spot-on impression of Buffy’s whining, and watching Fátima and Buffy embrace was extremely heartwarming.
I would also like to mention that in addition to returning to a clean home, I found that several kitchen items had been replaced, replenished, or even added—far above and beyond what I would have expected after telling them to go ahead and eat/drink anything there.
Most importantly, Buffy had clearly connected to them, and is looking forward to another adventure with them in the future.
Thank you, friends—please come back sometime,
Adam and Christine
